Following a catastrophic season, which almost ended with relegation to Ligue 2, OGC Nice are in need of funds if they are to spend this summer, as per a report from L’Équipe.
It is quite the job facing Roger Ricort, named Nice’s new sporting director earlier this week. With the ownership situation still up in the air, Nice are traversing a period of austerity. A deal that would have seen INEOS sell to American investors fell through at the final hour last month.
With the club still up for sale, investment is limited, and if Le Gym are to spend anything this summer, they must raise €40m in player sales. There has been an incoming in the form of Laurent Abergel, who has signed on a free transfer, but Ricort will be more concerned with outgoings this summer.
No player is deemed untransferable, L’Équipe understands. There are players that they are especially keen to offload: Terem Moffi and Sofiane Diop. Both have big salaries. Hicham Boudaoui, Melvin Bard, and Mohamed Ali-Cho could all fetch sums north of €10m and so will also look to be offloaded.
The likes of Morgan Sanson, Kojo Peprah Oppong, and Antoine Mendy could also depart the Allianz Riviera.
