Allan of Corinthians has been charged by the STJD for an obscene gesture against Fluminense in the Campeonato Brasileiro and could be suspended for up to six matches.

The STJD said in a notice that he was cited under article 258 of the CBJD, which covers conduct contrary to sporting discipline and ethics. The case will be heard on Friday 24 April from 10:00 in Brasília.

The incident came six minutes into the second half of the 3-1 defeat at the Maracanã on 1 April after a clash with Lucho Acosta. Referee Davi de Oliveira Lacerda initially booked both. After Fluminense complaints and a VAR review led by Rodrigo D’Alonso Ferreira, he checked the monitor and showed a straight red under Law 12 for an obscene, disrespectful act.

Corinthians later sanctioned Allan internally.

Days later in the Dérbi, midfielder André Luiz repeated the gesture towards Andreas Pereira, was also cited under article 258 and served a one-match ban.

Also on Friday, the tribunal will hear Corinthians’ appeal against a loss of home advantage and a R$ 80,000 fine under article 243-G after a fan racially abused Palmeiras goalkeeper Carlos Miguel on 12 April.

The appeal also covers right-back Matheuzinho, banned for four matches for aggression against Flaco López under article 254-A, and goalkeeper Hugo Souza, given a two-match ban under article 243-F for insulting the officials. He has a suspensive effect and remains eligible.
