Allan Saint-Maximin is expected to join Charlotte FC after a six-month stint at RC Lens.

According to L'Équipe, the 29-year-old winger has given his approval to move to Major League Soccer following several weeks of talks between the club and his representatives.

The American franchise is now close to completing its objective.

Saint-Maximin is out of contract at Lens, and he would occupy a designated player slot, one of three per club permitted to exceed the league salary cap.

A formal announcement has been described as imminent, with the move taking him to the east of the United States.
