Allan will be judged by the Superior Tribunal de Justiça Desportiva do Futebol on Friday over his red card for an obscene gesture against Fluminense, and could receive up to a six-match ban under Article 258. According to Globo.com, the charge concerns conduct contrary to discipline or sporting ethics not covered by other CBJD rules.
He was sent off in the 3-1 defeat at the Maracanã on 1 April, in the ninth round of the Campeonato Brasileiro. After a dispute with Lucho Acosta, he was booked for repeatedly slapping the opponent’s arm. A VAR review then led referee Davi de Oliveira Lacerda to determine he grabbed his genitals and shook them towards Serna, prompting the dismissal.
Allan served a one-match automatic suspension in the next game, against Internacional.
The following day he apologised in an Instagram post, saying the emotion of the moment did not excuse his behaviour and offering apologies to team-mates, staff, the club, supporters and opponents. Corinthians also fined him 10% of his registered salary.
Midfielder André was sent off for the same obscene gesture in the derby with Palmeiras on 12 April. In an STJD hearing he was handed a one-match ban, already served against Vitória last Saturday.
