ALLEGRI: "LET'S PLAY WITH COMPOSURE AND TOGETHERNESS" | OneFootball

A new Serie A fixture for the Rossoneri, who are ready to get back into action for matchday 33. Ahead of Hellas Verona v AC Milan, Coach Allegri held a pre-match press conference. 

VERONA "After the last two defeats without scoring, tomorrow is an important game to get back to winning ways against a very lively side who are physical and dangerous on the counter-attack. Every season you go through a difficult spell, and it has to be handled calmly, going back to doing things in an organised and compact manner. There are six matches left, and this is an important game in terms of achieving our objective."

SUPPORT "Gabbia's comments pleased me a great deal. We've reached this stage of the season together, and the Club has always been close to us. On Friday, CEO Furlani watched our training session and had lunch with us. We need to take things one step at a time. The positive thing is that we've got everyone back, and for this final stretch the overall objective has to come before any individual goals."

THE WHISTLES AFTER UDINESE "Rafa needed a few whistles to understand that in life things don't always go well. It did him good, and I expect a positive reaction. He's worked well this week, as has the whole team. I'm convinced the forwards will start scoring again. The team has to approach matches in an organised way, which is what we lacked against Udinese. We were too disorganised on the pitch, and that must not happen."

THE FUTURE "All our strength and energy must be channelled towards the final objective. We all work for the Club, which stands above all of us. The players need to be supported, and they in turn need to support me. In the summer, the Club did very good work; we have a squad of excellent players. The foundation is solid, and to improve it we need to qualify for the Champions League and then plan for the future. I am tied to AC Milan and enjoy working at this Club, which is a business and must be managed as such: it has to be made competitive while also remaining sustainable."

GROWTH "The AC Milan brand is one of the strongest in the world, and if you achieve results the Club becomes even more competitive. We have a responsibility to establish AC Milan at European level. For now, let’s achieve the objective of qualifying for the Champions League and then plan the future together, which is a process that has already begun."
