Alvaro Arbeloa left Real Madrid at the end of the last season without having achieved the most significant objectives set by the club. However, despite his dismissal, it seems like he still has a good relationship with the Merengue club.

This relationship has come to light in the last few days. Only yesterday, his new club, Fulham, completed the signings of two Los Blancos players, i.e., Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios, with Real Madrid getting €50 million for 70% of the rights of both players.

Now, it seems like the Spanish tactician is looking to land another player from his former team. According to MARCA, Fulham have now made the midfielder Thiago Pitarch one of their targets, as they look to strengthen their midfield.

However, this deal is progressing slowly at this moment as the English club is prioritizing strengthening other areas of their team. Furthermore, the injury suffered by the youngster recently, which is expected to keep him out of action for around two months, is also reducing their urgency towards this operation. Meanwhile, they are also keeping an eye on the Southampton midfielder Shea Charles.

Initial talks between Fulham and the Real Madrid player have already taken place, and the Premier League side is confident that the player will be happy with this opportunity. The presence of his former teammates, Gonzalo Garcia and Cesar Palacios, as well as Arbeloa, makes it a particularly attractive possibility for the player.

Meanwhile, the uncertainty that he is facing at the Merengue club will also push him towards England. After Arbeloa’s departure, he has lost his biggest advocate on the Los Blancos’ bench, and Jose Mourinho is not expected to give him the same prominence that he enjoyed with the first team at the end of last season.
