Alverca rally to climb into 10th after second half surge | OneFootball

Alverca beat Casa Pia 3-1 at the Complexo Desportivo FC Alverca on Sunday to rise from 12th to 10th in Liga Portugal.

João Marques put Casa Pia ahead in the first minute, rifling into the top left from outside the box after a fast break, set up by Jeremy Livolant.

Figueiredo levelled with a close-range header (49.), meeting Chiquinho's cross from the left. Chiquinho then edged Alverca in front with a composed finish from close range (63.).

After Marko Milovanovic came on, Rhaldney sealed it with a low strike from outside the box (83.), the substitute supplying the assist.

Matheus Mendes protected the lead late on, saving from Gaizka Larrazabal (90.). He then denied Dailon Livramento in the first minute of second half stoppage time.

Alverca enjoyed 60.1% possession and earned nine corners as they controlled the second half. Casa Pia mustered five efforts on target and forced 11 corners.

Next, Alverca visit Nacional. Casa Pia stay 16th in the relegation play-offs and host Santa Clara next.
