Romain Saiss returned to Molineux last weekend and thanked Wolves supporters for a warm welcome, saying the club will return to the Premier League. He was paraded around the pitch before the meeting with Fulham.
The player said in a post that: "About last weekend. Once a wolf, always a wolf. Thanks to my club Wolves and all the fans for the warm welcome you gave my family and me."
"We still feel at home despite the fact that years go by. The club will come back to the Prem, where it deserves to be. After darkness comes the light. See you soon. (DJ, never forgotten)."
Saiss joined Wolves in 2016 and was part of the 2018 title winners, playing a major role in their early top flight progress under Nuno as they reached the last eight of the Europa League.
It is four years since he left for Besiktas, and he now plays for Al Sadd in the Qatar Stars League.
The Molineux crowd also saluted another former favourite, with Raul Jimenez serenaded throughout and applauded when he came on for Fulham.
