Alysson, ex-Grêmio, celebrates Aston Villa Europa League title with Príncipe William | OneFootball

The forward Alysson experienced a curious moment, celebrating Aston Villa’s Europa League title with Prince William in Istanbul, Türkiye.

Globo.com reports that the heir to the British throne is an Aston Villa supporter and watched from a box at Beşiktaş Stadium. He celebrated each of their three goals and later posted on social media to mark the win.

Aston Villa dominated the final and beat Freiburg 3-0. It was the club’s first European trophy since the Champions League 1981/82.

Having left Grêmio in December last year, Alysson has made three Premier League appearances this year, the latest on 4 March against Chelsea.

He suffered a muscle injury, recovered, but missed the closing matches of the season.
