América Femenil close to first signings as Celeste Espino and Karol Bernal near moves | OneFootball

América Femenil, fresh from winning both competitions in the first half of the year, are moving to strengthen for another historic campaign. They lifted Clausura 2026 and the Concacaf W Champions Cup, and now target the Liga MX Femenil double and the Campeón de Campeonas.

According to Americayya.net, two players are close to becoming the first additions for the next tournament, Celeste Espino and Karol Bernal.

Espino would arrive from Chivas, where she was regularly the back-up goalkeeper. The intention is for her to compete with Itzel Velasco, with Sandra Paños having left the club.

Bernal, of Rayadas, plays at left-back, a position the squad urgently needs to reinforce. At present Mariela Ramos is the only specialist in that role.

Further signings are considered possible, most likely one or two, with the priority to keep the core that delivered the double. The club also want to deepen the bench to increase competition for places.

Brazilian forward Priscila Da Silva will rejoin the squad after almost a year out with a ligament rupture.
