Amorim confirms boost for Man Utd ahead of West Ham game | OneFootball

Ruben Amorim has confirmed that Matheus Cunha is back available for the game against West Ham on Thursday.

Cunha has missed the last two games with an injury but will return to the squad against the Hammers.

“We have two doubts for the game but I will not tell you today,” Amorim said ahead of the game.

“It will change the way we’re going to approach it, let’s see if they can play.

“The rest of the squad is good. Matheus [Cunha] is back. Harry [Maguire] and [Benjamin] Sesko are still out.”

The United boss also says he is excited about what more is to come from summer signing Cunha.

“He has more levels to go,” he said. “He’s at a different club, different pressure, he was struggling because he was not scoring and because of social media abuse, he was thinking too much about the numbers but the influence he has in the team is important to us.

“I think he has so much to grow offensively and defensively.”
