Fabrizio Romano reports that Ruben Amorim is keen to become the new Milan coach and is ready to accept the offer from the Serie A giants, waiting for the club’s ‘final green light.’
Former Manchester United coach Amorim is ready to sign a contract with Milan, according to Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano.
A Bola and Corriere dello Sport already reported that the Rossoneri had offered Amorim a two-year deal worth over €3m per season.
Multiple sources, including The Athletic, report that the 41-year-old is now the leading candidate for the Rossoneri job.

“Rúben Amorim, ready to accept all conditions discussed with Milan to become the new manager,” Romano wrote on X.
“He wants the job and is waiting for the final green light from Milan.”
The Diavoli already held talks with Oliver Glasner and Mauricio Pochettino after sacking Massimiliano Allegri at the end of the 2025-26 campaign in which Milan failed to qualify for the Champions League.
Amorim was sacked by Manchester United in January 2026 after 14 months in charge of the Red Devils.
Milan remain in the looking for a new CEO, technical director and sporting director after Ralf Rangnick decided to extend his contract as the Austria national team coach.
