He continued: “All the players get along great with him. He’s a bit quieter and more reserved with the media, but with us he’s different. We laugh a lot with him. I hope he continues to play this well and helps us as a team.”

That fits the overall picture Olise is currently presenting. The speculation surrounding his future doesn’t seem to affect him at all. FC Bayern would love to extend his contract and pay him a massive salary in return.

Real Madrid, in particular, will be watching the situation closely and lying in wait behind the scenes. If there’s any sign that Olise—perhaps next summer—is willing to make a move after all, the Royals will do everything they can to sign him.
