Ancelotti surprises Léo Pereira, of Flamengo, in first Brazil training session | OneFootball

Brazil opened their camp for this FIFA window in the United States on Monday 23, and debutant Léo Pereira drew immediate praise from Carlo Ancelotti in the first session.

According to Coluna Do Fla, after the Flamengo centre-back executed a tackle inside the area, Ancelotti and his staff responded with "Bravo, Léo".

Pereira linked up with the squad on Sunday 22. He has two further training sessions this week to be assessed by Ancelotti.

A first-time call-up, he is aiming to convince the Italian and stake a claim for the 2026 World Cup, with the next call-up after this window set to be the final list.

Brazil play two friendlies in this window, facing France on Thursday 27 at 17:00 Brasília time at Gillette Stadium, Boston. They then meet Croatia on Tuesday 31 at 21:00 Brasília time at Camping World Stadium.
