Ancelotti attended Athletico v Flamengo at Arena da Baixada on Sunday night, in round 16 of the Campeonato Brasileiro, on the eve of Brazil’s World Cup squad announcement.

According to Globo.com, he watched from a stadium box alongside selections coordinator Rodrigo Caetano and Athletico president Mario Celso Petraglia.

It was his final in-person viewing before the call, with the final list to be revealed on Monday at 17:00 at the Museu do Amanhã in Rio de Janeiro.
