Ander Herrera returns to Real Zaragoza on one-year deal after Boca exit | OneFootball

Ander Herrera has rejoined boyhood club Real Zaragoza on a one-year contract after leaving Boca Juniors. According to L'Équipe, he returns despite Zaragoza's relegation to Spain's third tier.

The midfielder came through Zaragoza's academy and now returns to the club where he broke through.

His career has taken him from Bilbao to Argentina, via Manchester United and PSG. He played for PSG between 2019 and 2023.

Regularly hampered by injuries, the Spain international with two caps will bring experience to a team aiming to return quickly to Liga 2.

Across spells at PSG and Manchester United he made 284 appearances, including 33 in the Champions League.
