Anderlecht looking at Wolfsburg youngster to replace Lazio target Jan-Carlo Simic | OneFootball

With Jan-Carlo Simic looking set for a move to Lazio, HLN are reporting that Anderlecht are eyeing up a move for Wolfsburg youngster David Odogu. The 19-year-old would join the Brussels based side on loan, with Anderlecht having negotiated a purchase option as part of any deal. Wolfsburg have also ensured that there is a buy-back option included should Odogu make the switch to Anderlecht permanent.

Last season the young Odogu made his senior debut for Wolfsburg in the Bundesliga, with three appearances late in the season. There is little prospect of the teenager breaking into the first team this season, so a move to Anderlecht would certainly give him more opportunities for valuable gametime. Without Simic, Anderlecht will be light at the back and could do with adding the likes of Odogu. However, they are also young at the back, and this lack of experience may well prove costly during the campaign.
