André Carrillo reaches 100 Corinthians games in Athletico-PR stalemate | OneFootball

André Carrillo marked a landmark appearance for Corinthians in a 0-0 draw with Athletico-PR at Neo Química Arena, a 21st-round tie in the Campeonato Brasileiro.

The Peru international started and played 83 minutes in Itaquera. According to Meu Timao, it was his 100th outing for the club. The result left Corinthians on 29 points.

Carrillo completed 95 percent of his 39 passes, including four of five long balls. He made two defensive contributions, three recoveries and won one ground duel. In attack he was quiet, failing to register a shot and unsuccessful with his only dribble.

He joined on a free transfer in mid 2024 after leaving Al-Qadisiyah of Saudi Arabia. His career has also taken him to Alianza Lima, Sporting, Benfica, Watford and Al-Hilal.

At Al-Hilal he won the AFC Champions League and helped eliminate Flamengo at the 2021 Club World Cup. He has been regarded as one of Peru’s leading players over the past decade.

Carrillo is in contention for Fernando Diniz on Sunday 2, when Corinthians visit Internacional at Beira-Rio at 19:30 in the first leg of the Copa do Brasil round of 16.
