André Gomes seals permanent Benfica exit to join Casa Pia | OneFootball

According to Glorioso 1904, André Gomes is leaving Benfica on a permanent deal to join Casa Pia, with the transfer valued at around €500,000. The move ends the goalkeeper's decade-long association with the club.

The 21-year-old, capped 26 times by Portugal at youth level, arrived in 2016 from Academia de Ponte de Lima and progressed through every age group to reach the first team.

He made his senior debut in 2024/25 after several standout seasons for Benfica B and the academy sides.

In 2025/26 he joined Alverca on loan, making 25 official appearances and banking important minutes in the elite of Portuguese football.

On returning to the club, he trained with the B team and knew opportunities would be limited next season given the competition for the gloves.

An academy graduate regarded as one of the most promising goalkeepers of his generation, Gomes now has the platform at Casa Pia to continue his development and try to establish himself in the Primeira Liga.
