Wolves are still navigating a difficult spell, but Andre says a simple act from Rob Edwards when he arrived at Molineux showed the human touch behind the head coach’s growing popularity.
“He’s a top person, firstly. When he came I was in Brazil as my son was not well, so he sent me a message and this was important.” He was speaking to the club’s official channels.
Edwards has been in post for around five months. He inherited a mess left by Vitor Pereira, Domenico Teti, Jeff Shi and Fosun, then lost his first seven games.
Momentum has begun to shift, with Wolves collecting 15 points under him so far and performances improving.
“On the pitch he gives me a lot of confidence to play. I’ll give all of my life inside the pitch to help him.”
Inside the club, Edwards is credited with sharpening the culture through clearer communication, a first-name approach and involvement in wider strategy meetings beyond on-pitch matters.
Results and displays have improved, and Wolves appear in good hands. A tough spell still looms, but his manner could help players buy in as the club aims to be successful again.
