André has been named the 2026 Campeonato Paulista breakthrough player at Monday night's awards ceremony.
According to Meu Timao, the ceremony was staged by the Federação Paulista de Futebol. André Ramalho also represented Corinthians, being recognised for the tournament's best goal.
The 19-year-old said he was delighted and grateful, thanking God, his mother and his family for their support. He added that everything has happened very quickly over the past six months, changing his life in an instant.
Across the competition he played eight times and scored twice, in the opener against Ponte Preta and in the final round of the first phase against São Bernardo.
He emerged under Dorival Júnior late last year, making his debut on 13 September against Fluminense at the Maracanã. Since then he has become a key figure for the Parque São Jorge side.
In total, André has made 24 appearances for Corinthians, scoring four goals. He is already attracting interest from abroad, and Corinthians received a proposal from Milan last month.
Corinthians hold 70% of his economic rights. The midfielder has said he wishes to remain at the club at least until the end of the current season.
