Andreas Pereira has been diagnosed with a lumbar trauma after taking a blow to his back on Sunday, leaving him a doubt for Palmeiras. He was substituted during the game and should miss the midweek tie.
According to Globo.com, he underwent tests on Monday as the squad returned to training, which ruled out a fracture and confirmed the issue in the lumbar region. Palmeiras visit Jacuipense at 21:30 on Wednesday at Estádio do Café in Londrina for the second leg of the Copa do Brasil fifth phase, having won the first meeting 3-0.
Left-back Arthur began pitch-based transition work on the grass with the Health and Performance unit, while Piquerez continued physiotherapy.
On Monday, Paulinho worked indoors at the centre of excellence for load management, having featured with minutes in the last three matches.
The starters completed regeneration work at the recovery and neuroscience centre at the Academia de Futebol. The remaining players trained in small-sided technical drills on a reduced pitch.
