Andrés Merlos appointed to referee Boca v Independiente clásico at La Bombonera | OneFootball

The Liga Profesional de Fútbol has confirmed the referee appointments for round 14, with Andrés Merlos to oversee the clásico between Boca and Independiente on Saturday 11 April.

According to LaNumer12.com.ar, the match will be played at the Estadio Alberto J. Armando, known as La Bombonera.

Merlos will be assisted by Sebastián Raineri and Diego Bonfa, with Matías Billone acting as fourth official. The VAR team will be Lucas Novelli and Mariano Ascenzi.

Merlos has taken charge of Boca 17 times in regulation, yielding eight wins, five draws and four defeats. The draws include matches that were later decided on penalties.

Boca host Independiente in the 2026 Torneo Apertura’s 14th round.
