Andressa Alves praises adaptation at Corinthians and outlines special derby preparation | OneFootball

Andressa Alves says she feels increasingly at home in her second season at Corinthians after scoring in the 2-1 win over São Paulo, and she outlined the extra focus she brings to derbies.

The victory came in round 10 of the Brasileiro Feminino at Fazendinha on Monday. According to Meu Timao, she has made 54 appearances since joining in early 2025, with 34 wins, 14 draws and six defeats, plus 18 assists, 10 goals and both the 2025 Brasileiro and Libertadores titles.

The attacking midfielder said last year was an emotional first season after almost 10 years abroad in Europe and the United States, and that she now feels more comfortable. She added that scoring for Corinthians and representing the Fiel remains special.

Two of them have been against São Paulo, putting the Morumbi side alongside Grêmio and América-MG as her most frequent opponents scored against. A lifelong supporter, she said clássicos carry extra weight and that she prepares to give 100 percent in attack and defence.

Her affinity long pre-dated her move, as she attended a 3-1 win over Vasco in late 2024 and donated to the Neo Química Arena payoff campaign organised by Gaviões da Fiel. This season she is third in the team’s scoring with three, behind Jaqueline and Gabi Zanotti, and leads the assist chart with eight. Corinthians visit Red Bull Bragantino at 17:30 on Thursday at Estádio Benito Agnelo Castellano in round two of the Paulista, seeking a first win in the State competition.
