Angel Garcia has signed his first professional contract with Olympique Lyonnais, a three-year deal that delighted his formative club in Amplepuis.
According to Le Progres, the 18-year-old put pen to paper on 20 March after three years at Stade Amplepuisien.
Club president Damien Grosselin said their dream is to see Corentin Tolisso and Garcia on the pitch together, and he believes that could happen in the coming months.
The Amplepuis side has already produced Tolisso, a world champion and now Lyon captain, plus former professionals Blaise Ngague and Arthur Pontet, and women's players Anne-Laure Casseleux and Yolène Chuzeville.
Garcia keeps unforgettable memories of his time there and now hopes to make his mark at Lyon. His father, Jean-François Garcia, said he felt moved and proud on the day of the signing.
