Wolves have confirmed their retained and released list, with Angel Gomes returning to his parent club and Ladislav Krejci signed permanently. Matt Doherty’s previously announced exit has also been ratified.

According to ExpressAndStar.com, Gomes joined on loan from Marseille until the end of the season and Wolves chose not to activate a £6 million option to buy.

Krejci’s loan from Girona has been converted into a permanent transfer. Wolves paid a £6 million loan fee and will now pay a further £20 million. The move was expected once he reached a set number of appearances, having been a key figure last season, while Leeds and other clubs retain interest in him this summer.

Defender Dexter Lembikisa also departs after nine years at the club. He joined at 13, progressed through the academy and made his senior debut in November 2022.

Lembikisa had loans at Rotherham United, Hearts, Yverdon-Sport, Barnsley and Lincoln City before leaving. Seven academy players are moving on, Ty Barnett, Harvey Griffiths, Arthur Nasta, Bjorn Marwa, David Osifo, Fabian Salmon and Jake Wilcox, while a new deal has been offered to Conor McLeod.
