Another Barcelona star to miss the next ‘few weeks’

Barcelona star Ronald Araújo is expected to sit out the club’s coming fixtures over the weeks ahead.
This comes amid ongoing struggles on the part of the Uruguayan to come to terms with the backlash against him for his costly mistake against Chelsea.
Defender Araújo of course took his place centre stage in the headlines across Europe once more earlier this week.
As much came after the 26-year-old was given his marching orders during Barcelona’s latest outing in the Champions League.
En route to a 3-0 drubbing at Stamford Bridge, Araújo was first booked for dissent, before being shown a 2nd yellow card for a wild lunge on Marc Cucurella on the stroke of half-time.
The decision left Barca a goal and a man down, all but ruling out their hopes of a comeback.
Araújo, in turn, has been heavily targeted by both those of a Blaugrana persuasion, and neutrals over the days since.
And this backlash looks set to culminate in an impending spell away from the pitch…
As per a report from Barcelona insider Javier Miguel of Diario AS:
‘Araujo will not be there against Alavés. For many, good news. He be sidelined for a few weeks and reset physically and mentally…’
