According to a fresh report from SPORT, Pedro ‘Dro’ Fernandez may not be the only La Masia talent preparing to leave Barcelona during the January transfer window.
Another young prospect, Quim Junyent, is now edging closer to the exit door as his future at the club becomes increasingly uncertain.
The outlet mentions that Quim Junyent, an 18-year-old midfielder developed at La Masia, is attracting strong interest from Almeria.
The situation is moving quickly, and a final decision could be taken in the coming days.
The key factor behind this development is the player’s own desire, as he has made it clear that he wants to explore opportunities away from Barcelona.
Notably, Junyent’s contract with Barcelona expires at the end of the season, and at the club, there is growing acceptance that a renewal is unlikely.
Internally, the belief is that the midfielder has already decided against extending his stay, despite spending his entire football education in Blaugrana colours.
As things stand, Almeria are viewed as the club best positioned to secure his signature.
Barcelona’s midfield situation has played a major role in this potential departure. There is an overload of quality options both in the first team and at Barça Atlètic, leaving little room for young players to make the jump.

Unfortunately for Junyent, this congestion appears to have stalled his progress during the current season.
Junyent has been at Barcelona since his junior years and consistently delivered strong performances across age groups.
Last summer even hinted at a breakthrough, as Hansi Flick included him in first-team pre-season training.
He was selected for several friendlies, including the Joan Gamper Trophy match against AS Monaco.
However, momentum has faded since then. From being part of the first-team dynamic to now facing an uncertain future, Junyent’s situation has changed rapidly.
He is currently assessing multiple offers, but all signs suggest he is closer to starting a new chapter away from Barcelona than committing to the club he grew up supporting.
Barcelona, for their part, have scheduled talks in the coming days, with all options still open.
While staying until the end of the season remains possible, a January move to Almeria is becoming an increasingly realistic outcome.
