Anthony Gordon 'to undergo' Barcelona medical ahead of €80m move | OneFootball

Anthony Gordon arrived in Barcelona on Thursday to undergo a medical ahead of a potential move to the back-to-back Spanish champions.

Sky Sports aired footage of the Newcastle winger on a private jet bound for Catalonia, and said the transfer could be signed off by the weekend.

The Athletic reports an agreement in principle between Newcastle and Barcelona at around €80m including add-ons, and that the Catalan club have also settled terms with the 25-year-old.

Gordon, capped 17 times with two goals, joined Newcastle in 2023 after five years at Everton. He has just produced the best statistical season of his career with the Magpies, scoring 17 in all competitions, including 10 in the Champions League.

He is among the 26 players selected by Thomas Tuchel for the World Cup, scheduled from 11 June to 19 July, with England.
