According to El Periódico Mediterráneo, Madrid have suffered two straight league defeats, and his tenure of under two months is already being tested.

He joked about the room’s optimism, then sidestepped calls for explanations, saying they would not help and that winning is what matters.

Arbeloa insisted there would be no excuses and that his players must grow amid adversity. He said Mbappé’s trips to France and Bellingham’s to London for treatment are coordinated with the club.

On Mbappé, Arbeloa said they speak every day and that it is all good news because the forward is improving day by day.
