Arctos sought 33% OL stake before taking minority PSG share | OneFootball

Arctos sought a significant stake in OL Groupe before taking a minority share in Paris Saint-Germain. According to L'Équipe, its PSG holding since December 2023 is about 7%, not 12.5% as officially announced.

The American investment firm was bought by KKR early this year. It had negotiated with OL Groupe, the listed holding company of Olympique Lyonnais, to acquire 33% of its capital.

At the time, Jean-Michel Aulas was still the owner, alongside Pathé and Chinese fund IDG Capital Partners.

Arctos was aiming to invest heavily in Lyon to develop the club.

Those talks came just before Aulas’s two co-shareholders chose to sell the club to John Textor.
