The defending champions are led by 38-year-old Messi. Ángel Di María, now retired, is the only starter from the 2022 World Cup final penalty shootout win over France not included.

The list features three Bundesliga players, Bayer Leverkusen pair Exequiel Palacios and Ezequiel Fernández, plus Hamburger SV’s Nicolás Capaldo.

The provisional selection will be reduced to a maximum of 26 players for the tournament.
