Serie A side Juventus haven’t given up hope of signing Aston Villa’s Dibu Martinez and could now have some good news on that front.
La Gazzetta dello Sport – via CM, report that the player is keen on leaving the Birmingham club.
While Aston Villa’s public stance is that he isn’t for sale, this has left the goalkeeper a bit annoyed. He has made it clear through his agents that he is willing to fight for a move to Juve and for an exit from Aston Villa.
He has decided to leave Villa Park, with the Villans’ demand currently at €12 million.
Juve continue to wait cautiously but haven’t given up on a move for Guglielmo Vicario either. They have been in contact with his entourage, as things around Martinez continue to evolve and change.
The only thing that can work in Juve’s favour is Martinez actively pushing for a move, as Aston Villa are under no pressure to sell. The player’s stance can reduce the valuation and make it easier for Juve to sign the Argentine, who will play against England at the World Cup semi-final today.
