Arne Slot makes ANOTHER terrible decision that will cost his job | OneFootball

He's tearing down the legacy of Jurgen Klopp and the foundations the German built at Anfield.

One of Klopp's greatest skill was his man management and player development. He could inspire the club's young stars to perform feats of miracles.

Slot on the other hand doesn't seem to show the same kind of desire and openness to working with young players. He gives a lot less opportunities to younger players on the pitch and doesn't rotate as often as Klopp used to do.

He also has been making a terrible decision in the Champions League.

The best thing about the competition is that managers can name an expanded bench. Unlike the Premier League, where you're only allowed to name nine subs, the Champions League allows a maximum of 12.

This enables a lot of teams to give young players opportunities to showcase their talent in the first-team. Thanks to the expansion of the subs bench, we saw a lot of academy players make the bench, experience European football and even make an appearance under Klopp.

Under Slot, Liverpool have chosen not to fulfil the 12-bench quota in most games. Including against Marseille, where Slot has named a 20-men squad.

Why?

The explanation seems to be is that it's because UEFA Youth League games happen on the same day. But they take place early in the afternoon and never prohibited Klopp from calling up players who were involved in those matches.

Neglecting the club's young players like this is pure arrogance from Slot and it will cost his job. No one can remain head coach at Liverpool who isn't willing to give young players a chance and integrate them into the first-team.

The end is near for Slot. It has to be.
