Arrascaeta equalled Modesto Bría as Flamengo’s most-used foreign player, reaching 369 appearances in Sunday’s 3-1 win over Santos.

According to Globo.com, the Uruguayan has 101 goals and 110 assists since joining the club in 2019.

Paraguayan midfielder Modesto won the first Carioca three-peat in 1942, 1943 and 1944, and made 369 outings for Flamengo between 1943 and 1953.

Behind Modesto Bría and Arrascaeta on 369 come Sinforiano García on 272, Doval on 263, Reyes on 200, Petkovic on 198, Cuéllar on 171, Carlos Volante on 161, Rossi on 160 and Pulgar on 156.

Arrascaeta is, alongside Bruno Henrique, the most decorated player in the club’s history with 17 trophies. He became Flamengo’s top-scoring foreigner last year, and leads the Brasileirão for assists, on 83, since the CBF began tracking the metric.

The No 10 sat out the previous round due to fatigue. He started both of Uruguay’s matches during the FIFA window, playing more than 90 minutes in each.
