Arsenal duo Declan Rice and Myles Lewis-Skelly both caught the eye in England’s opening win of the international break over Albania, with Rice providing an assist and Lewis-Skelly scoring on his debut for the side.
The task at hand on Monday night was to replicate that same level against Latvia, with the two players making Thomas Tuchel’s starting lineup once again.
For the second game in a row, Lewis-Skelly had some involvement in the opening goal, winning a free-kick that was converted by Reece James.

Then, just like in the first game of the break, Rice set up Harry Kane for England’s second of the night.
You could argue that Kane did most of the work for the goal against Albania, with his touch and finish more impressive than Rice’s initial cross. But the reverse was true here, with Rice putting it on a plate for Kane to tap in from a couple of yards out.
The match finished 3-0, with Eberechi Eze scoring an impressive individual goal to cap things off. Rice and Lewis-Skelly were substituted in the 79th minute.

Bukayo Saka was also in attendance, caught on camera greeting Tuchel in the tunnel. With any luck, the winger will be fit and back to his best by the time the next internationals come around.
