Arsenal are on the verge of completing a move for Club Brugge star Christos Tzolis.
According to The Athletic, the Gunners have agreed a €40 million deal with Brugge for the 24-year-old.
Arsenal view Tzolis as a replacement for Leandro Trossard, who has recently joined Turkish side Besiktas.
The move for the Greek footballer won’t impact their pursuit of Aston Villa’s Morgan Rogers.
Arsenal made an enquiry about signing Kenan Yildiz, but Juventus informed the 21-year-old was not for sale, prompting them to look for alternatives.
The Gunners identified Tzolis as a good fit, having been impressed by his pace, work rate and versatility across the frontline.
English supporters will be familiar with the Greece international, who spent three seasons at Norwich City.
He didn’t set the house on fire during his stint at Carrow Road, scoring three goals in 30 appearances.
But Tzolis has significantly enhanced his reputation as an elite forward since joining Brugge in 2024.
He has made 108 appearances for the Belgian outfit, bagging 43 goals and 45 assists in the process.
Tzolis played an instrumental role in helping Brugge win the league title last season, recording 22 goals and 29 assists in 52 games.
The young winger would be an excellent signing for Arsenal, but he may struggle to find regular game time, especially if the club also sign Rogers in this transfer window.
