In a recent report, Fichajes mentioned that Arsenal are preparing to move in for Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez. It has been claimed that the Gunners are willing to break the bank to land the Argentine forward this summer.
Alvarez had a productive campaign in La Liga after he put in a string of impressive displays as the focal point of Diego Simeone’s attack. The Argentina international banged in 20 goals and grabbed nine assists in 49 matches for the Madrid club last season in all competitions.
The 26-year-old is currently one of the most feared forwards in La Liga. Thus, it is no wonder that the Gunners are eyeing a move to bring him to the Emirates Stadium in this transfer window.
His current deal at the Wanda Metropolitano will expire in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for Arsenal to sign him on the cheap later this year.

Alvarez excels at finding some space for himself to get some strikes in at goal. He has proven his worth as a decent goal-getter in the final third and has got the vision to create some decent chances for others around him up top.
The Argentine talent is a good dribbler with the ball on the offensive end of the field and can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals. Alvarez is primarily a centre-forward but can also fill in as a winger on either flank if required. He already knows the Premier League well from his time at Manchester City and won’t take much time to settle into life at Arsenal.
Alvarez would undoubtedly enhance the quality of Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He has what it takes to fight for a regular starting role at the Emirates Stadium in the coming seasons.
At 26, Alvarez has his peak years ahead of him, which makes him a worthy target for the Gunners to consider in this summer transfer period. He will even help the Gunners compete for a few major trophies in the future. Therefore, Arteta should focus on trying everything in his power to snap Alvarez up this off-season.
