In a recent segment on Youtube, renowned journalist Fabrizio Romano stated that Arsenal are showing interest in Red Bull Leipzig winger Yan Diomande. Romano said,
‘Arsenal, over the last few days, made some checks with the agents of Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig to understand if there was still a chance to enter the deal.
‘But don’t forget, Diomande has an agreement for personal terms with Paris Saint-Germain, and Paris Saint-Germain are in negotiations with Leipzig.
‘But Arsenal made some calls to understand the situation of Diomande.’
Diomande enjoyed an excellent run of form at the German club in the previous campaign when he put in a string of impressive displays for them in the final third. The 19-year-old scored 13 times and earned ten assists in 36 matches for RB Leipzig last season across all fronts.
The Ivory Coast talent is currently among the best young wingers in the Bundesliga. Thus, it is no surprise that the Gunners have set their sights on him this off-season.

His current contract at the Red Bull Arena will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for Arsenal to sign him on the cheap later this year.
Diomande has got the pace to cause a lot of problems for his marker out on the flanks. He has got the vision to engineer a few inviting chances for his teammates on the offensive end of the field and can shoot the ball with venom from long range.
The Ivory Coast talent can contribute by scoring and creating his fair share of goals up top. Diomande is primarily a right-sided wide player but can also operate as a left-winger if told to do so. However, it remains to be seen whether he can maintain his good form in the Premier League if the Gunners manage to get a deal done for him later this year.
We can expect Diomande to bring more pace and firepower to Arsenal head coach Mikel Arteta’s frontline. He has what it takes to fight for a regular first-team spot at the North London club in the coming seasons.
At 19, Diomande has got the potential to be a future star in the Premier League as long as he continues to improve with each year. He will also help the Gunners compete for some major honours over the next few years. Hence, Arteta should consider moving in for him in this transfer period.
