Arsenal ‘attempting to get a deal done’ for dream summer signing – latest transfer reports

Arsenal are reportedly pushing to get a deal done to sign Atletico Madrid forward Julian Alvarez before the start of pre-season.
The Independent say competition for the Argentina international, who is currently at the World Cup, “looks to have regressed”.
Atletico’s Spanish rivals Real Madrid and Barcelona have both been keen to sign the 26-year-old, but Atleti are believed to be unwilling to sell Alvarez to either of them.
Alvarez is said to be open to a move to Arsenal, but it would likely cost north of £100m to bring in the former Manchester City man.
Meanwhile, Manchester United are close to finalising a deal to bring in Youri Tielemans from Aston Villa, according to The Athletic.
Tielemans has a £35m release clause included in his Villa deal, which United will now activate.
Villa were keen to keep the Belgium international but are powerless to stop him leaving due to his release clause.
Sky Sports are also reporting that Man Utd could revisit a deal to sign Ederson from Atalanta this summer despite a breakdown over the previous agreement because of a medical issue.
United’s transfer window appears to be gathering pace, with youngster Cristian Orozco set to be formally announced at Old Trafford, according to The Express
Despite looking set to lose Tielemans, Villa are however set to beat Newcastle to the signing of midfielder Johan Manzambi, as also reported by The Athletic,
Newcastle had agreed a deal to sign the 20-year-old, but now look likely to miss out on another of their top targets.
The Magpies are said to be looking at Japan goalkeeper Zion Suzuki, ,meanwhile, according to the Newcastle Chronicle.
Suzuki, currently at Parma, is also attracting interest from other Premier League clubs including Leeds.
Elsewhere, Roma are among the clubs keen on signing Chelsea winger Alejandro Garnacho, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.
It is reported that Roma would like sign the Argentine on loan with an option to buy him, though Chelsea favour a permanent exit and value the 22-year-old at around £50m.
And The Daily Mail report that PSG are keen on Aston Villa left-back Lucas Digne this summer following his impressive performances at the World Cup for France.
