Arsenal, Barcelona and Chelsea join race for Bayern Munich target Nico Williams | OneFootball

Sky Germany report that Arsenal and Chelsea have entered the race to sign Bayern Munich target Nico Williams (22). The Spaniard has a reported release clause between €60m and €65m as the Bundesliga champions look to strengthen their attack.

Meetings and negotiations took place prior to Bayern’s trip to the USA while the Spaniard’s salary demands are around €20m. Not only are the trio interested in Williams, but Barcelona have also shown concrete interest. Sport report that the club’s sporting director, Deco, held a meeting with Williams’ entourage that lasted over an hour and a half.

However, an extension beyond 2027 at Athletic Club is not out of the question either.

He helped Athletic Club to the semi-finals of the Europa League with five goals and three assists, which saw him named in the UEFA Europa League Team of the Season. Williams also scored five goals and provided five assists in 29 La Liga games last season.
