Arsenal confirm departures of Laia Codina and Victoria Pelova | OneFootball

Arsenal have announced that Laia Codina and Victoria Pelova will leave the club this season on the expiry of her contract.

Defender Codina first joined Arsenal from Barcelona in the summer of 2023 after having previously won two Champions League titles with the Catalan side and spending a season on loan at AC Milan.

Codina helped lift the League Cup in her first season and then the Champions League once again last season against her former side, although she did not come off the bench in the final.

In total, Codina has played 58 times for the Gunners in all competitions since her arrival, also netting four times from defence. This season, the 26-year-old featured in 24 games for Renée Slegers' side in all competitions, scoring once.

Meanwhile, Pelova joined the club midway through the 2022/23 season from Ajax and also helped the Gunners to a League Cup and Champions League title.

The Dutch international was a regular fixture of the Gunners but suffered an ACL injury in the summer of 2024 which meant she missed much of the 2024/25 season.

In total, the 26-year-old has scored six goals from 87 appearances during her time with Arsenal.
