Arsenal have been dealt another transfer blow as they could now miss out on Paris Saint-Germain’s Bradley Barcola to Liverpool, according to the Sun.
The Gunners want the PSG star after Chelsea pipped them to Morgan Rogers, but their Anfield counterparts are in the way as Andoni Iraola aims to strengthen in attack.
Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta wants Barcola at the Emirates Stadium club, but Liverpool are confident of beating them to his services.
The North London club may have to start looking elsewhere again having only been beaten to Rogers a couple of days ago.
Barcola was a sensation at the World Cup, weighing in with three goals and one assist in eight appearances.
The PSG star can play on both wings, and Liverpool are in the driving seat for him despite interest from Arsenal and Bayern Munich.
The 23-year-old is expected to leave the Ligue 1 club this summer if Yan Diomande joins them from RB Leipzig.
Both the Gunners and Reds have been linked with the Ivory Coast international attacker, but he is set to join PSG from the look of things.
Liverpool will benefit from the deal as the French club will have to sell Barcola, who is in the final two years of his contract.
The versatile attacker wants to play more regularly, and a move to Anfield could be perfect for him.
The Merseyside club want a replacement for Mohamed Salah, and the PSG star could prove to be the perfect attacker to fill the Egyptian’s shoes.
