Arsenal face challenge in pursuit of star as Man Utd land target – transfer round-up | OneFootball

One of Arsenal’s top targets this summer transfer window is Aston Villa and England’s star attacker Morgan Rogers.

However, the Premier League champions will have their work cut out if they are to pull off a deal for the 23-year-old. Despite serious interest, Villa have no intention of selling Rogers and will battle to retain him, according to The Telegraph.

Meanwhile, the Gunners have also been linked with Nathaniel Brown. The Athletic say that both Arsenal and Bayern Munich are keen on the Eintracht Frankfurt left-back. The 22-year-old has a long contract remaining and would not be available for a minor fee.

Elsewhere, Manchester United have landed their first major target of the summer. Sky Sports report that a deal has been struck with Atalanta to acquire the services of midfielder Ederson. It will cost £38 million to bring the 26-year-old to Old Trafford.

The Brazil international will be tasked with replacing his fellow countryman Casemiro. However, it is understood that Michael Carrick’s side will still be pushing for further signings in central midfield.

Another of their targets in that area is West Ham’s Mateus Fernandes. Despite their relegation, the Hammers have still put an £80 million price tag on the 21-year-old, according to The Times. Arsenal, Liverpool and PSG are also reportedly amongst the admirers of the talented Portuguese midfielder.
