Arsenal Guimaraes boost after Howe departure? – latest transfer reports | OneFootball

Outgoing Newcastle boss Eddie Howe reportedly believes the club will lose skipper Bruno Guimaraes this summer.

Arsenal are keen on signing the Brazilian midfielder and are believed to be readying an opening bid for the 28-year-old, though Newcastle would want at least £80m to even consider letting him depart.

Guimaraes is keen to swap St James’ Park for The Emirates Stadium, and The Telegraph report that Howe was of the belief that Newcastle would eventually sell their talisman.

Howe has departed Newcastle after five years in charge at the club, and looks set to be replaced by Al-Ahli boss Matthias Jaissle.

Another player reportedly of interest to Arsenal is Bournemouth’s Rayan. The Sun say they are among a number of clubs which also includes Real Madrid, Bayern Munich, PSG and Liverpool keen on signing the 19-year-old.

The report adds that he could be an alternative to Vinicius Jr for Arsenal, with Real Madrid reportedly confident of extending the Brazilian’s deal.

Meanwhile, Sky Sports News say Real Madrid are expected to make an offer for Manchester City midfielder Rodri.

The Spanish giants are believed to be willing to pay in the region of £43m and £51m for the Spaniard, who has a year left on his current contract.

Elsewhere, Chelsea have completed the signing of France defender Maxence Lacroix from Crystal Palace for a fee believed to be around the £52m mark.

Youngster Tyler Fredricson has left Manchester United to join Lausanne-Sport in a permanent deal.

Coventry City are close to signing goalkeeper Carl Rushworth from Brighton.

And Spurs boss Roberto De Zerbi says the club’s transfer business is only “60%” done, and is confident of another “bomba” signing.
