Arsenal defender Ben White is set for an imminent return to action and could be named in the squad to face Leicester this weekend, according to the Daily Mail.

The Gunners star travelled with the rest of the team to Dubai for the warm-weather training and is edging closer to full fitness.

White underwent surgery on his knee last November on an issue that had lingered for a while and seen him play through the pain barrier for many months.

The Arsenal star returned to playing on the grass last month and is expected to return to action later this month in a much-needed boost for manager Mikel Arteta and his men.

The North Londoners have continually suffered fresh injuries almost on a weekly basis, with Kai Havertz and Gabriel Martinelli recently joining the likes of Gabriel Jesus and Bukayo Saka on the treatment table.

Takehiro Tomiyasu is also likely to undergo injury on a recurrent knee issue, but the return of the versatile White will come in handy as Arsenal prepare to go head-to-head with Liverpool during the final weeks of the 2024-25 Premier League campaign.

The 27-year-old has played 12 games across all competitions so far this term, missing their last 21 games.

The Gunners have lost thrice and drawn four games within their time frame, getting dumped out of the FA Cup and Carabao Cup, and they need White back as soon as possible.

It remains to be seen whether he will feature against Leicester on Saturday at the King Power Stadium, but he could be ready to start when Arsenal take on West Ham United at Emirates Stadium next weekend before a trip to face Nottingham Forest.

A win against the Foxes will help them close the gap on Premier League leaders Liverpool, and they need to go on a winning run from now until the end of the season to have a chance of pipping the Reds to the title.
