Arsenal interest in Dario Osorio as Marco Silva prioritises left wing at Benfica | OneFootball

Benfica are active in the market for a winger, yet Midtjylland’s Dario Osorio is not top of their list. Marco Silva is targeting a player who can operate primarily on the left.

According to Glorioso 1904, Arsenal are among the clubs most keen on Osorio and have been tracking him for months, with Midtjylland’s sporting director Kristian Kjaer acknowledging that interest. The Premier League side are described as the most active in the chase.

Osorio, 22, usually plays on the right. He would only move up Benfica’s shortlist if Gianluca Prestianni or Dodi Lukebakio depart during this window.

Benfica retain him on their radar but remain focused on alternatives judged a better fit for current needs.

The Chile international recorded eight goals and 10 assists last season for the Danish club. He has recently extended his contract to 2030, but Midtjylland would consider a sale if a satisfactory offer arrives.

Silva is pushing to land a winger who can slot in immediately for next season. Benfica want to conclude a deal quickly ahead of the tie against St. Gallen, with Osorio viewed as an option only if significant attacking exits occur.
