Paris Saint-Germain manager Luis Enrique has made it clear that Randal Kolo Muani isn’t the type of striker he’s seeking. However, a recent report has revealed that there is one forward who has caught Enrique’s attention.

According to Fichajes, Enrique sees Alexander Isak of Newcastle United as a key target for his project. The Spanish coach is impressed by the Swedish striker’s pace, technical skills, and finishing, believing these qualities would fit well with the attacking system he aims to implement at PSG.

At the same time, CaughtOffside has reported that Arsenal and Chelsea are both keeping an eye on Isak, although neither club is willing to meet Newcastle’s £115 million asking price for the 24-year-old.

Isak has been in strong form this season, scoring 14 goals and providing four assists in 21 appearances across all competitions. Despite the growing interest, Newcastle is determined to keep their star forward.

Despite rumors linking Arsenal to Alexander Isak, the Gunners won’t be able to afford a high-profile summer transfer for the striker, according to the Daily Mail.

Newcastle are reportedly valuing their in-form forward at £150 million. While Arsenal are planning to sell Oleksandr Zinchenko this month and Thomas Partey in the summer, they still won’t be able to make the numbers add up for Isak.

Arsenal’s summer plans will be shaped by profit and sustainability regulations, with player departures expected. While they may be open to offers for Gabriel Jesus, Isak is said to remain beyond their financial reach.

TBR Football’s chief correspondent Graeme Bailey reported on Thursday that Barcelona have been monitoring Isak in recent weeks, according to sources.

The report indicates that Hansi Flick’s team has had scouts attend several matches, including the first leg of the Carabao Cup semi-final against Arsenal, to evaluate Isak, who has been praised as “unstoppable.”
