Arsenal pair to return v Everton | OneFootball

Arsenal will have Katie McCabe and Leah Williamson back in the squad for their final home game of the season, but Steph Catley remains unavailable.

Renee Slegers has confirmed that Katie McCabe and Leah Williamson will return to Arsenal’s squad for their final home game of the season against Everton, although the match will come too soon for Steph Catley.

Slegers met the press on Tuesday before Arsenal’s penultimate game of the season and their final fixture at home.

Asked about the players who missed the 3-0 win over Aston Villa at Villa Park, Slegers said, “Katie McCabe is back, and Leah Williamson will be in the squad as well. Steph Catley is still coming back. Let’s see if she can make it for the Liverpool game if she’s not available tomorrow.”

McCabe missed the Villa game because of a family bereavement, while Williamson was absent with a small muscular niggle, a common issue for players who have spent a long time on the sidelines.

Catley has been out with a calf problem sustained against Chelsea in the first leg of the Champions League quarter-final, when she came off after 44 minutes.
