Arsenal star Myles Lewis-Skelly is under consideration at Manchester United having been offered up to the Red Devils by intermediaries, according to the Daily Mail.

It emerged last week that the Old Trafford club were monitoring the Gunners academy graduate and could look to lure him away from the Emirates Stadium club in the summer.

Man United want a new left-back going forward and Lewis-Skelly has caught their eye after impressing under Mikel Arteta at Arsenal last term.

The 19-year-old has fallen out of favour at the North London club and is currently behind Piero Hincapie and Riccardo Calafiori in the pecking order.

Lewis Hall and Nico O’Reilly are also ahead of him in the England set-up and the Arsenal star is unlikely to go to the World Cup in June.

Lewis-Skelly was a time-wasting 90th-minute substitute against Bayer Leverkusen two weeks ago and had only played for the North Londoners in the 4-0 FA Cup win over Wigan Athletic in mid-February before then.

The Man United target has told Arteta of his frustrations and could be open to leaving for the Red Devils.

He played 39 times last term, starting 26 games, but he has only started 12 times in 27 appearances this season and the situation is unlikely to change.

Lewis-Skelly could get an opportunity to impress against Southampton in the quarter-final of the FA Cup on Saturday, but is likely to return to the bench when Arsenal take on Sporting CP in the first-leg of their Champions League quarter-final tie next Tuesday.

He still has plenty of years ahead of himself and was only a regular starter last term due to injuries.

Lewis-Skelly will have to decide whether he wants to remain at Arsenal as a squad player or move to Man United or elsewhere and fight for a place in the starting XI.
